If you are buying new computer or CPU in a next few weeks, read this.
... Intel and AMD are in the "price war" as of now, so they are cutting prices on their CPUs DRAMATICALLY.... Like 50% off on many CPUs.
The problem is that CANADIAN retail shops are kind of SLOW adopting new price cuts. I know only ONE shop in Toronto that has already reduced price for AMD X2 3800, here it goes:
AMD X2 3800 for $185And here is the SAME CPU priced in most other shops, including your fav "Canada Coputers":
AMD X2 3800 for $329I am sure that Canada Computers will lower their price soon, but many other shops may be slower. In a few weeks, everybody would have their price reduced. But if you have to buy NOW, then do your research. Both Intel and AMD right now are lowering prices agressively. The CPU market was slow up to until now (July 27th) when Intel officially launched their new Core 2 Duo CPUs, Intel cut prices for Pentium D CPUs, and AMD was forced to cut prices on their X2 and other CPUs (AMD did a price cut on July 24th)
